Jefferson County government offices are making it easier to do business remotely.



At this time, all correspondence will be accepted by mail, email, fax, or drop box.  If an appointment is needed, please call our office.

  • JeffCom 911 - in the case of calls considered low priority incidents the caller will be asked if the report can be made to a deputy by telephone. 

  • Urgent or emergency deputy responses will still occur for in-progress crimes or felony crimes with a known suspect. 

  • Non-injury, non-blocking motor vehicle collisions may be handled by telephone. Exchange information and provide instructions on self-reporting using the Washington State Patrol Online Motor Vehicle Collision Reporting (OMVCR) format.

  • Sheriff’s deputies will respond to civil standby requests only if pursuant to a court order.

  • Non-criminal fingerprinting services are suspended through April 10, 2020. This includes original Concealed Pistol License Applications that require fingerprints or any other fingerprinting services.

  • The Drug Take Back program is suspended until further notice.



Tax Payments Options:

  1.  Pay with check, money order or cashier’s check by mail, or drop in the tax payment drop box in the parking lot behind the Courthouse. No cash.      
  2. Pay online using credit cards, Visa Debit or e-check.     
  3. Sign up for Auto-Pay with forms on the Treasurer Web Page by April 10 to have tax payments made automatically from a checking or savings account.

Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavits:  

  1. Scan and email all documents pertaining to your property transfer for our review.          
  2. Once received, we’ll review your documents, provide any corrections and  instructions for payment.           
  3. Mail via USPS or drop off your original documents and payment in the Treasurer’s drop box located in the parking lot behind the Courthouse.  Please include contact information for your documentation.
