Ferry Advisory Committee
The Ferry Advisory Committee is a five member board appointed by the County Commissioners. The Board meets as necessary. The term of appointment is four years and is a sub-agency of WSDOT

Gardiner Community Center Board of Directors
Seven member board appointed by the County Commissioners to organize the operation of the center and oversee it's activities. Responsible for scheduling all activities, accounting of all funds generated by the center, reviewing all bills and charges and transmitting them to the County Commissioners. Business shall be conducted in accordance with the Guidelines for Operation of the Gardiner Community Center. Meets monthly. Three year term of appointment.

Housing Fund Board
Required by RCW 39.34.030(4) to address the needs of homeless persons and affordable housing throughout Jefferson County, both inside and outside of the City limits of the City of Port Townsend.

Intergovernmental Collaborative Group (ICG)
The purpose of the ICG is to adopt a COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Plan that endorses community-based actions to better recover from the impacts of the pandemic, and build greater ability to weather future events. These actions should be specific projects and initiatives that are tangible, fundable, legal and able to be implemented in the near term. Projects and initiatives are meant to empower the community directly to support long-term resiliency with an emphasis on what individuals, organizations and businesses can do together, with an appropriate supportive role by local government to assist those community projects and initiatives.

Intergovernmental Coordinating Committee (ICC)
The purpose of the ICC is to work with community task forces representing different sectors and receive recommendations for sector recovery resiliency plans, strategies and actions for review and inclusion into a Consolidated Recovery and Resiliency Plan by the ICC.

LEOFF1 Retirement Disability Board
The function of the Jefferson County/City of Port Townsend Law Enforcement Officers & Fire Fighter (LEOFF 1) Retirement Disability Board is to act on claims for reimbursement of medical expenses and applications for disability leave and retirement benefits mandated by the Washington State LEOFF 1 retirement plan in accordance with RCW 41.26.

Library District Board of Trustees
Five member board appointed by the County Commissioners to develop criteria for the position of Library Director; work with the Director to develop and adopt the annual operation budget; policies which govern the operation of the Library; personnel policy manual. Responsible for providing and maintaining a Library facility and assuring the diverse interests and needs of the community are met. Review and approve payment of monthly vouchers. Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Five year term of appointment.

Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee
The Marine Resources Committee (MRC) is an advisory group to the Board of County Commissioners. MRC members are citizen volunteers committed to protecting and restoring marine habitats in East Jefferson County. We are one of seven county Marine Resources Committees (MRCs) in the Northern Puget Sound region working with the Northwest Straits Marine Conservation Initiative (NWSC).

North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee
The North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee promotes community involvement in Pacific Coast issues in western Clallam and Jefferson Counties.

Noxious Weed Control Board
The mission of the Noxious Weed Control Board is to serve as responsible stewards of Jefferson County by protecting the land and resources from the degrading impact of noxious weeds.

Olympic Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council
Four member board appointed by the County Commissioners to identify and prioritize the needs of elderly and disabled persons; develop goals; review, advise and make recommendations for the comprehensive area-wide plan, allocate funds according to priorities and counties, develop goals and objectives and review and make recommendations on which programs and service providers should be contracted. Meets monthly. Three year term of appointment.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
The mission of Jefferson County Parks and Recreation is to improve the health, welfare, and safety of the citizenry; protect the environment, and promote economic development through state of the art recreational and educational programs and facilities supported by public tax revenue, fees, grants and private donations.

Peninsula Housing Authority
Consists of members from Jefferson and Clallam Counties. Duties include reviewing the coordination of providing mental health services to member jurisdictions. Three members from Jefferson County. Meets as necessary. Five year term of appointment.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission supports the Department of Community Development and makes advisory recommendations on land use planning matters to the Board of County Commissioners as authorized in the Planning Enabling Act (RCW 36.70.040).

Public Infrastructure Fund Board (PIF)
The Priority of PIF is to create an environment that encourages the creation of new jobs by stimulating private investments that will improve the economy of incorporated and unincorporated Jefferson County. Established by Ordinance No. 09 0710 06, consists of 8 members with 4 year terms

Jefferson County Risk Management Committee
The Risk Management Committee (RMC) shall be the primary mechanism by which the County manages risk, including but not limited to, the review, disposition and oversight of claims and claims lawsuits, assuring and implementing the County's compliance with the terms and obligations imposed upon it pursuant to: A) The Washington Counties Risk Pool Joint Self-Insurance Liability Policy; and B) Its membership in that Risk Pool. The RMC may make periodic recommendations through the Risk Manager to the Board of County Commissioners concerning insurance coverage, self-insurance, deductible, reserves, loss prevention, and any other technique for the sound management of risk.

Solid Waste Advisory Committee
Works to assist in the development of programs and policies concerning solid waste handling and disposal and to review and comment upon proposed rules, policies, or ordinances prior to adoption.

Tourism Coordinating Council
The Jefferson County Tourism Coordinating Council (TCC) was formed to promote the tourism industry in the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County, in accordance with Jefferson County Board of Commissioners Resolution No. 78-03.
