Code Compliance in Jefferson County responds to citizen complaints regarding building, zoning and land use code violations. Code Compliance works in partnership with Environmental Public Health and Sheriff's Office on public nuisance complaints. Complaints are investigated to determine if there is a code violation, the extent of the violation, and the appropriate action required. Code Compliance works with all affected parties to resolve or mitigate code violations.
