Road temperatures

Road Maintenance has contracted with Weathernet for the road-condition monitoring and forecasting necessary maintain a safe and effective snow-and-ice-control program. This is accomplished in part through a pilot network of weather stations that monitor road and air temperatures on Center Rd, Coyle Rd and Cape George Rd. Because the data for this program are found in a secure forecasting and alerting system, they are not accessible on a public internet site.

Road temperature data published by WSDOT are available for their weather stations located at Diamond Point and at Mount Walker.

River gages

US Geological Survey and the Washington State Department of Ecology provide online data from gages installed in major creeks and rivers on the west and east sides of Jefferson County, respectively. Following are the most recent seven-day graphs of flow data from some of those bodies of water.
