The JCPW Road Division responded immediately to the slide by placing 90 feet of concrete barrier at the site.


The solution for this project was to move the road further north, away from the slide area. Here a new traffic lane is constructed in County right-of-way.

 

Additional concrete barriers were placed along the impacted area of S. Discovery Rd. While the repairs were taking place, traffic was restricted to one lane.

 

While the landslide did not threaten the integrity of the roadway, its proximity posed a safety hazard to traffic.
