Public Works procures services or supplies for large maintenance and construction projects through a formal selection or sealed bidding process.  These projects are advertised in local and regional newspapers and periodicals.

For other projects, Public Works utilizes a Professional Consultant Services Roster, a Small Works Roster for Contractors, and a Vendor List to facilitate procurement of supplies, contractors and consultant services.  Qualified contractors and consultants who have provided their name and business information are selected to bid on various Public Works projects on a rotating basis.

Professional Consultant Services Roster

Public Works is updating its Professional Services Consultant Roster for 2012. To be listed on the roster, please complete and return the application linked below, along with a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). Your application will be retained and considered current for two calendar years from receipt.  Local agency engineers and project managers will refer to your detailed application and SOQ. Please include the address to your company’s website to provide us with additional information about your company.

Minimum Qualifications - companies that:

  • Maintain insurance (as specified on the application)

  • Have been in continuous business at least one year prior to application

  • Have a responsible financial history.

Small Works Roster for Contractors

Pursuant to RCW 36.32.271 and Jefferson County Ordinance #05-0601-92, Jefferson County seeks qualified contractors for public works capital improvement projects involving amounts less than $100,000.

Contractors must be currently licensed and in good standing with the State of Washington.  Contractors selected for Small Works Contracts will be asked to comply with all applicable RCW requirements, as necessary, such as bonding, insurance coverage, payment of prevailing wages, L&I, etc.

Vendor List

Pursuant to RCW 39.04 and Jefferson County Ordinance No. 05-0601-92, Jefferson County is seeking qualified vendors for supplies involving amounts less than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000).  Supplies may include:

  • Automotive and Truck Equipment and Parts

  • Snow and Ice Removal Equipment and Supplies

  • Welding Equipment and Supplies

  • Fuel

  • Propane

  • Asphalt and Emulsions

  • Rock and Gravel

  • Traffic Signs

  • Paper Products

  • Custodial Supplies

  • Paint

  • Office Equipment and Supplies

  • Communication Equipment and Supplies

  • Building Materials

  • Waste Handling Equipment & Parts

  • Construction Equipment & Parts

Vendors shall be currently in good standing with the State of Washington.
