Effective January 1, 2015, Jefferson County participates in the Municipal Research Services Center (MRSC) Shared Rosters. These rosters are shared databases used by various participating local agencies throughout the State of Washington.

Jefferson County does not maintain rosters separate from those provided by MRSC.

Public Works procures services or supplies for large maintenance and construction projects through a formal selection or sealed bidding process.   These projects are advertised in local and regional newspapers, periodicals and on the Jefferson County homepage.

For other projects, Public Works utilizes the Professional Consultant Services Roster, Small Works Roster and Vendor Roster, thru MRSC, to facilitate procurement of supplies, contractors and consultant services.

The Jefferson County Public Works in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252.42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration for an award.

The Professional Services roster is used to obtain Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms offering professional and consulting services.

The Small Works roster is an alternative bid process for projects up to the amount of $100,000.00.

The Vendor roster is used to solicit bids from vendors for supplies up to the amount of $25,000.00.

All requirements for letting of contracts are pursuant to RCW 36.32.271, RCW 30.04 and Jefferson County Ordinance #05-0601-92.
