What's New - Internet Map Server?

September 2011 Status

ArcIMS, the Internet mapping system that we use is rapidly becoming a legacy program.  It is the first generation of Internet mapping.  It has been replaced with ArcGIS Server that has a more Google Maps look and feel, plus greatly enhanced cartography and other functionality.  We had hoped to move to this platform years ago but funding and other constraints have delayed this needed upgrade.

For the meantime, our goal is to keep the existing system functioning and work toward implementing the second generation Internet mapping interface, ArcGIS Server.
