Mitigation by Email

The local rules of Jefferson County District Court allow you to submit a written statement instead of appearing at the hearing.  If you wish to submit an electronic written statement in lieuof appearing at the hearing, please use this form.  It must be recieved by the Clerk at least one court day before the hearing.  You also must provide the Clerk with an email address so that the court can advise you about the result of the hearing.  No appeal may be taken from the result.

Once the court receives your email it will be given to the Judge for review.  We will then mail the judges decision, (this will not come on email).  It will take approximately two weeks for you to get your decision.

You must respond to the requirments on the back of the green copy of your ticket and you must have already received a court date from the Court BEFORE using this form.
