Customer Assistance Meeting (CAM)

Effective 1/1/2014

DCD's 'coaching service' is provided through customer assistance meetings for direct consultation with our planning and building staff.  This service was developed and previously subsidized by the EPA-funded Watershed Stewardship Resource Center grant over the last few years.  With the grant ending, we continue to provide 15 minutes of free coaching to customers then charge an hourly CAM Fee for more extensive discussions, project guidance, and additional research.

To get started, submit your completed CAM Intake Form to us by mail, fax, or email or bring it with you during scheduled drop-in hours (first come, first served):

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

  • Wednesday 1:30 - 4:30 pm

Depending on staff availability and the information you seek, your question may be answered 'on the spot' or require advance payment and scheduling.

The CAM Fee is a minimum of one hour at DCD’s hourly
rate, not including the first 15 minutes of staff time.  Additional time over one hour is billed in 15 minute increments. Upon submittal of a complete CAM Intake Form and up-front payment of the CAM Fee, an appointment will be scheduled for your CAM coaching session.  Many customers find that this up-front expense saves them time, money and headaches in the long run!
