News Releases & Public Notices
Significant effort has been made to
inform the public about the SMP Update Project since it's beginning
through numerous releases of information. News releases and
public meeting notices are typically distributed to the Port
Townsend Leader, the Peninsula Daily News, and the Forks Forum.
Additional news and outreach articles are prepared specifically for
other publications such as the Ludlow Voice, Kala Point Newsletter
and Walker Mountain News. The County has no control over if or
when such information is published.
Legal notices are published in the
Leader, the Jefferson County legal paper of record. View and
download all such documents below:
Published Press Coverage
Most news releases and public notices have been published by area
newspapers. To further assist public participation, most
newspaper clippings have been digitally scanned and are viewable
online via the Laserfiche WebLink. As more press coverage is
published they will be added - check back often to see new materials
(webpage date does not reflect Laserfiche date).
Laserfiche Viewing Instructions:
- Open the
Laserfiche WebLink
- Click on "Permits"
- Click on "Long Range Planning"
- Click on "SMP"
- Click on "SMP Press" - contents are grouped by year and
named by print date and publication
Note: Items in Laserfiche are sorted in strict numerical
order rather than by date.
