  • Code Enforcement, 379-4450

Enforcement of the development regulations contained in the Unified Development Code (UDC), Title 18 of the Jefferson County Code (JCC), is administered under JCC Chapter 18.50.

To report a suspected code violation, complete a complaint form and deliver it to DCD.

You may fax it to 360-379-4451 or

scan and e-mail it to dcd@co.jefferson.wa.us or

mail it to 621 Sheridan St. Port Townsend, WA 98368

Due to the still-struggling economy, DCD does not have the funding to support a code enforcement officer.  At present, our policy is to have available staff do a brief initial evaluation of potential violations and seek voluntary compliance if violations are found.

In some situations, when voluntary compliance is ineffective, code enforcement may involve the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and/or the Prosecuting Attorney's Office
