Animal Services - Cats and Dogs for Adoption

A pet is a lifetime commitment!

Jefferson County Animal Services (JCAS) is a full-service animal control shelter providing compassionate care for stray or unwanted pets. We promote spaying and neutering, humane education programs, lost and found placement, and have a full adoption service. We hold all stray dogs for five days to find an owner. If no owner is found, the animal is available for adoption.
