Document Image Search
Documents found utilizing this search tool are generally viewed as .tif files. Once a document of interest has been located, you will be asked to install two programs from "Pegasus Software, LLC", one to view the image (560Kb) and one to print the image (192Kb). These are both required ActiveX controls. There will be a delay, depending on your internet access speed, the first time you view images, since both programs need to download and install onto your computer.

Jefferson County Jail Inmate Roster
The site is updated every day with inmates' names, charges and bail amounts.  The list contains everyone who is being held in the jail, usually between 50 and 60 inmates.  The information available is all a matter of public record.  Besides helping individuals, the service should cut down on the number of calls jail employees field every day from the public asking who's in jail.   It will provide a quick opportunity for someone to check to see if an overdue friend or family member may have taken a detour, but confirm that they are safe.
